My name is Nicolas Fournier, and I am a professional Game Designer and Graphic Designer. I create unique, elegant games in which players' imagination can go wild.

My approach to design is methodical and thoughtful. Each design decision is made with an awareness of player psychology (loss aversion, player fantasy), of elegance (design by substraction, dual-purpose design), and of game balance (negative and positive feedback loops, input and output randomness). My creation and iteration process is centered around uniqueness, fun, and simplicity. The conceptual affordances of my designs are innovative and try to hook by one key concept.
